About Utah PRSA

Home » About

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Greater Salt Lake Chapter was officially chartered in 1952 as the PRSA Intermountain Chapter (source). In 2021, the PRSA Greater Salt Lake Chapter and PRSA Utah Valley Chapters officially joined to become PRSA Utah.

PRSA Utah is comprised of public relations professionals representing many of Utah's corporations, public relations agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational and health institutions, and independent practitioners.

PRSA Utah offers numerous professional development and networking opportunities, including:

  • Professional Development Luncheons featuring key local and national public relations thought leaders;
  • Teleseminars and Webinars keeping you up-to-date on need-to-know strategies, tactics and trends;
  • Casual Friday Lunches introducing you to other Utah professionals;
  • Annual Spring Conference, a half-day conference focused on professional development, best practices and networking.
  • Golden Spike Awards, recognizing area practitioners and outstanding contributions to the public relations profession in Utah

PRSA Utah is pleased to support PRSSA student chapters at local universities.

Finally, PRSA Utah provides resources, including preparatory classes to earn the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), and local PR job listings. You can even post a job opening for free here.

If you're a public relations professional who hasn’t yet taken advantage of PRSA membership, we hope you'll join both PRSA and the Utah Chapter by signing up today.
